If you’re looking for something different, you may also want to check out the high volume
Mixed metallics can help expand your capabilities and differentiate your business from the crowd. Using this revolutionary development in print applications, you can create stunning full-color designs highlighted with a glimmer of metal.
This means you can now print seals for diplomas, certificates, and other official documents; add impact to point-of-sale signage and outdoor banners, or even create metallic image overlays for photos.
With a variety of substrates and the power of metallic inks at your disposal, the only limit is your designer’s imagination.
Xerox Iridesse Features
The Xerox Iridesse Production Press offers stand-alone or in-house print shops the ability to add stunning metallic accents in silver or gold touches to any print job.
These shimmering touches can highlight logos, bring sparkle to business identity items, and produce eye-catching point-of-sale signage and direct marketing materials.
Capabilities
With production color printing and specialty ink capabilities, the Xerox Iridesse Production Press is the only printer you need. Besides offering metallic inks in gold and silver, the Iridesse brings you additional design options by adding white and clear dry inks alongside the brilliant color of traditional CMYK toners.
You can easily add up to two specialty dry ink stations of your choice to your complement of CMYK toners on the Iridesse for a total of six ink options. And, changing them is a breeze with Xerox’ EZ Swap.
The Iridesse also comes complete with the capacity to print on one or both sides of your chosen substrate material, so you’ll be able to add touches of metal anywhere on your design.
High Capacity
The Iridesse is a workhorse, with a recommended average monthly volume of 225,000 to 475,000 impressions. And, at a processing speed of 120 ppm for standard 8.5” x 11” pages, your print job will be completed in no time.
The Iridesse high volume printer works with most weights of paper, from standard weight to 145 lb. cover stock. And, with two trays that hold 4,000 sheets of paper each, you won’t have to slow production for refills often. There are also two optional high-capacity feeder trays featuring two additional trays each for increased capacity for those vast jobs.
And media types? The Xerox Iridesse Production Press can handle a wide variety of media, including:
- Coated
- Uncoated
- Textured
- Dark
- Labels
- Business cards
- Window decals
- Durable/synthetic papers
- Greeting cards
- Tabs
- Embossed
- Polyesters
- Custom stocks
The ability to easily print on a diverse range of materials means that your design possibilities are virtually unlimited.
Stochastic and Halftone Printing
The Iridesse production press allows you to print in two ways for greater flexibility: halftone or stochastic.
Halftone printing, with its legion of discrete dots, will help control cost since it uses less ink than printing with continuous tones.
Stochastic printing, also called frequency modulation screening, takes the halftone process a step further by randomizing the dots for an even smoother, more realistic image.
