Drain a few with us for Special Olympics of Washington. You can also golf.
On Wednesday, August 9, Kelley Create sponsors the Special Olympics of Washington (SOWA) Golf Tournament at Washington National Golf Course in Auburn. 144 golfers plan to raise at least $35,000 and transform the lives of SOWA athletes.
We know SOWA is changing the lives of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities through programming in sports, health, education, and community building. We’re proud to support that mission.
Kelley Create Senior Strategic Account Manager, Greg Kelly, leads the golf tournament effort based out of our Kent headquarters. He’s passionate about giving back to this community.
“I’m lucky and blessed in this life,” Kelly said. “This golf tournament is one way to give back through friendship and love. We all need more of that today.” Kelly started this golf tournament 19 years ago when he was an employee of QBSI.
SOWA prides itself on removing barriers and stigma that people with intellectual disabilities face and shares their gifts and talents with the community. “My son is disabled, and I’ve seen firsthand how SOWA transformed his life,” Kelly said. “Building up his confidence, they provide him a place where he felt included to express the absolute joy of athletic competition.“
Participating golfers can expect a goofy, great time for a good cause on August 9 at Washington National. In the end, as Kelly says, “the SOWA athletes win.”
